Alex grew up locally and was a star high school athlete in Snellville, where he was selected to the All-State Georgia Baseball Team. Alex has always had a quest for knowledge and his interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy was ignited when a shoulder injury cut his college baseball career short while attending Piedmont College. Alex was determined to focus not only on injury treatment but injury prevention.

Alex received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University. Following graduation, Alex continued his passion for clinical excellence by completing an orthopedic residency program and received his board certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. In addition, he holds certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a manual physical therapist, and advanced dry-needling techniques.

Alex was hired by The Sports Rehabilitation Center for his expertise in manual therapy, knowledge of sports biomechanics, and advanced exercise prescription. He is the Clinic Director of the Brookhaven clinic and assisted with the development of a youth injury prevention program, one of the first of its kind in the country.

As a lifelong learner and teacher, Alex participates in continuing education programs and provides mentorship for orthopedic residents and entry-level doctoral students. Alex is considered a leading expert in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of baseball injuries. He serves as a resource for many athletic trainers, physical therapists, and orthopedists in the Atlanta area.

Outside of the clinic, Alex enjoys playing golf, softball, attending sporting events, and spending time with his amazing wife, Liz, and their family dog, Trixy.

Alex is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
