Michael is a native of central Kentucky and attended Wofford College on a football scholarship. In high school, Michael was an all-state offensive lineman and received numerous honors for his athletic and academic performance. Michael knew in high school that he wanted to pursue a career in sports physical therapy.

At Wofford, Michael studied biology and was a 2-year letterman on the football team. He learned more about sports PT after sustaining an ACL tear during his first career start against Clemson. This experience solidified his desire to become a sports physical therapist as he recognized the importance of the relationship between the patient and the clinician for a successful outcome.

Michael earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. In PT school, he received extensive education in manual therapy techniques and spent two of his clinical rotations in sports/orthopedic and vestibular/balance specialty settings. Michael has a unique ability to relate to athletes and non-athletes for their return to their prior level of activity. He enjoys treating post-operative patients, sports injuries, youth athletes, and weekend warriors. Michael has a special interest in lower extremity and ACL rehabilitation.

Michael earned his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and is also certified in dry needling. Michael is a member of the APTA sports section and the National Association of Black Physical Therapists (NABPT).

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with this fiancé, Kate, and their mini schnauzer, exercising, following competitive sports, traveling, and trying new experiences with friends and family.
